Hot Brown Honey

Australiensiska gruppen Hot Brown Honey intar i höst Sveriges scener med sin prisbelönta show. På ett hejdundrande sätt slåss de mot makten, krossar stereotyper, skapar eftertanke och peppar till förändring. Showen spelas för utsålda hus världen runt – och hyllas av både publik och press.

Med inslag av bland annat burlesk, musik, dans, sång, poesi och komedi håller Hot Brown Honey publiken i ett varmt järngrepp under hela showen. Eller som de själva säger: ”the Honeys will make you laugh until you cry, clap until your hands bleed and shake every part of what your mama gave you!”

Showen är skapad av Kim “Busty Beatz” Bowers och Lisa Fa’alafi och den är uppbyggd som en kabaré, fylld med olika nummer, varav några är soloakter och några är maffiga ensemblenummer. I centrum av scenen finns en stor, upplyst bikupa och högst där uppe tronar föreställningens Queen Bee. Tillsammans med de övriga artisterna; Lisa Fa’alafi, Hope Haami Crystal Stacey, Ofa Fotu och Elena Wangurra remixar de hela systemet.

Hot Brown Honey spelar för utsålda hus runt om i världen; Sydney Opera House, Tiger Dublin Fringe, Auckland Pride Festival och Hull Freedom Festival för att bara nämna några platser. När de gör höstens turné med Riksteatern i Sverige är det första gången de spelar i Norden. De anlände i början av september och hade då spelat hela augusti på den stora festivalen FRINGE i Edinburgh där de redan från första besöket för några år sedan har varit en utsåld snackis och måste-gå-på-föreställning.
