About the theatre
Stora Teatern is Gothenburg’s grand stage for Swedish and international guest performances. In this central and beautiful theatre you’ll experience contemporary circus and dance, theatre, music from around the globe, inspiring talks and much more.
The theatre is over 150 years old and located right in the centre of Gothenburg. Flick through our programme to see whats on! (in Swedish only).
There is a big parking space right on the south side of the theatre. On the other side you will find Gothenburg’s biggest outdoor bar/restaurant, in a green setting and with a beautiful view over the channel. Open every day during summer, no booking neccesary.
